Lighting –
I’ve experimented with many different styles of lighting and lighting sources over the years. These days, I try to ask the model which style she prefer so that we are on the same page for the photo shoot. I’ve done shoots in the past with one style of lighting and then come to find out the model preferred a different style. Also, sometimes you are restricted to what you can do do based on the shooting location. For example, you can’t do window light if you are in a Dungeon with no windows.
My favorite style of lighting is a basic three point lighting set up with colored back lighting.
1. Three point-lighting with cool front lighting and colored back lighting.
2. Three point-lighting with warm front lighting and colored side/back lighting.
3. Three-point lighting with warm front lighting and warm back lighting.
4. Full colored lighting

7. Practical lighting (no window light) – Black and White
